Empty Urns is a testament to the loss and unresolved lives of the 43 missing students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers' College in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico. This work, conceived in 2014, is an ongoing project until those responsible are brought to justice, exemplifying the exhumation of the vestiges of violence through remembrance and mourning.
Each title is taken from the poem "Cada uno" by María Baranda.
